Actress Claire Danes Visits Israel for the First Time

February 2011: American actress Claire Danes, accompanied by her husband, English actor Hugh Dancy, made her first visit to Israel to film the Showtime television series Homeland, based on the Israeli series Prisoners of War.

Claire Danes and husband, Hugh Dancy at the Western Wall in Jerusalem Danes, who recently won a Golden Globe award for Best Actress in HBO's Temple Grandin, toured the country with Israel's Ministry of Tourism after filming completed on Homeland. Danes and her husband visited religious and historical sites in Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, Masada and Caesarea, as well as entertainment and cultural hotspots in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
