The three-story International Mary of
Nazareth Center is located 50 meters from the Basilica of Annunciation, between
St Joseph Church and the Nazareth Synagogue, not very far from the Tomb of the
Righteous Man. Intended as an innovative place to discover and deepen Christian
faith through a fusion of ancient texts and modern technology. The center is
open every day except Sunday from 9A.M.- 5P.M., visitors are asked to donate 50
NIS for entry.
The
center includes an archeological site that shows the foundations of a house
from Jesus’ time. In addition to a one-hour multimedia show recalling the
essential moments of salvation history in 4 separate rooms as well as the
presence of the Holy Virgin Mary in the Scriptures.
The center also offers an exhibition entitled
“Mary in the world "which includes three thirty minutes video
presentations that help people to understand Mary's relevance in the Eastern
Churches, Judaism and Islam.
