More than ten years ago, God granted to me a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to Israel. It was there we walked in the footsteps of Jesus – up mountains, down wadis into living water, and along paths of righteousness as we moved from one biblically profound insight and life-changing moment to another. Words cannot adequately express the spiritual impact of such a study tour. I wish every high school graduate could visit Israel before they begin the rest of their lives. You are never the same again. The Word of God goes from black and white to vivid full color. Now as you read scripture, you can picture in your mind’s eye all the places you have visited and your insight and understanding of scripture just explodes with delight and love for God.
After 35 years in ministry no single spiritual event (including the three seminaries I attended) even comes close to the two week study tour I had in Israel. I not only met Yeshua (Jesus) in a way I have never known Him, but I also fell in love with His word all over again as well as the land of Israel, the Jewish people, and our Jewish heritage as Christians. The impact of those two weeks had an immediate and remarkable effect upon our church. The fruit from that one experience continues to multiply in hundreds and now thousands of lives. If you have an opportunity to go, please don't hesitate. You will never be the same!
