The Israel Ministry of Tourism offers various services aimed at improving the quality of your visit:
Our newst addition is a 24 hour "Tourphone" for tourists
By dialing *3888 from any phone, tourists can receive immediate answers and assistance regarding tourist services as well as assistance of the Israel Police, Ministry of Interior services, Airport Authority and more. The "Tourphone" line operates seven days a week.
Tourists with questions or difficulties during their visit can receive immediate response or a detailed referral to the proper relevant authorities:
§ Filing complaints against tourism entities, § Assistance with matters requiring the intervention of the Israel Police (i.e. violence, theft, traffic and transportation and more),
§ Ministry of Interior affairs: assistance with border control and Israel's Gateways, visas and renewal of visas,
§ Emergency updates and announcements,§ Basket of Services offered by the Tourism Services Administration including information about Tourism Information Offices in the country,
§ Referral to the relevant regional authorities and Municipal Tourism Boards upon questions dealing with specific tourism sites, how to get there and more.
