Boris Godunov - The Israeli Opera

A new production of this opera by Modest Mussorgsky that is as relevant to the here and now as it was when it was first written, describing the bloody rise to power of Czar Boris Godunov and his constant struggle against the nobility and the masses who seek to overthrow him. Set in the years 1598-1605 and based on the story by Alexander Pushkin and the history of Russia by Nikolay Mikhailovich Karamzin. See website for exact dates and times.​
