Atlit Ma'apilim Camp

Atlit Camp was the detention camp for illegal immigrants established in Israel during the British Mandatory period, where the Jewish immigrants who reached Israel without entry permits were assembled and held. The detainees endured base conditions and an experience they hoped never to repeat. Visits to the site includes walking inside the barbwire fences, among models of British vehicles and an illegal immigrant ship, figures of British officers and wooden shacks.
