Gaaton Fruit Wines Ltd.
The winery was established in 2003 and it produces 7,000 bottles annually. The production includes liqueurs from exotic fruits which grow in the orchards of the kibbutz and nearby villages, including passion fruit, kiwi, lychee, pomegranate, dates, almonds and cherries. The winery also produces apple honey liqueur, citrus honey liqueur and mixed fruit liqueur. The winery offers guided tours, an explanation of the production process, tastings and workshops, to individuals and groups. We also offer explanations about the history of the kibbutz and the Western Galilee region.
Visits are by prior arrangement. Sunday – Thursday: 08.00 – 15.00 Friday: 09.00 – 13.00 Other visiting times can be arranged at short notice.
How to get there:
From Road 89, on the stretch between Nahariya and Ma’alot Tarshiha, turn onto Road 8833 and continue about 4.5 kilometers to Kibbutz Gaaton. The winery is next to the bus stop at the traffic circle (roundabout) alongside the gate.
