The Plain of Sodom
In the midst of the dry marl plateaus of the Plain of Sodom, is an amazing green heart of cultivated fields. The fields belong to the cooperative farming communities of Neot Hakikar and Ein Tamar, where artists also open their studios to visitors. The plain is named after the city of Sodom which, with its twin Gomorra, the Bible says met a famously fiery end. Nowadays, you’ll find welcoming people, the peaceful border with Jordan, and the wonders of desert farming. Overnight accommodations are available.
